Gopi chand who is having a tough time at the box office is all set to try his luck with Oxyzen and the film which has been postponed many a time has finally made it to screening today. The film which promises the audience of yet another action ride has been low on buzz and needs to secure a good talk to get going at the box office. Has it managed to do so? Let’s find out.

Story:

The story of the film is set up in a faction backdrop with two groups yearning for the end of the other. A mishap occurs in one of the families and the motive and person behind the killing, how the family find it, what does the opposition family do to find the suspect out, how the hero and his love interests fit in all this drama forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Gopi Chand’s strong forte is action and he’s yet again done well with the action sequences. His antics in other departments is ordinary. Raashi Khanna and her antics are usual and nothing impressive. Anu Emmanuel is ok. Rest of the crew is adequate with Jagapathi Babu being his usual best.

Songs and Background Music:

Songs of the film are below par and the picturization isn’t superb as well except for once song. Background music however is good and the interval score has been provided superbly.

Direction, Screenplay and Dialogues

The film’s story though usual has a bit of surprise element towards the interval which keeps the audience interested for the second half. The first half is okay with some decent scenes with no highs and lows. However, the narration goes flat again in the second half and a below par climax doesn’t support the lacklustre narration. Interval bang is however superb and is one to watch out for in the movie. Dialogues are okay.

Cinematography:

Cinematography is excellent and the film has been presented in rich light. Lighting however could have been used to better effect considering the budget of the film.

Technical Values:

Production values are ok and the film has been present in decent detail. Art work has little to do in the movie and the costumes aren’t great as well.

Overall:

Overall, Oxyzen is yet another disappointing fare for Gopi. While the first half starts on an ok note, the proceedings get routine with every minute and no exciting elements at any point uplift the mood of the film. The interval keeps you engaged and presents hope on a good second half which will be short-lived again. The screenplay is laggy and boring and tests your patience to an extent during the latter part of the second half. Songs aren’t great as well and so are the performances. Nothing really clicks for the film and it should be tough tide to swim for the film at the box office.
